Sedat Aslan

After graduating with a diploma in Cinema and Television Film, specialising in dramaturgy, he was permanently employed at the HFF Munich as an artistic assistant in the Production and Media Business Department.

Since 2018 he has been working as a freelance writer, director and dramaturge. The short films he shot during his studies were screened at various international festivals as well as broadcast on television, and he also received the ProSiebenSat.1 Mainstream Award and the "Junge Kunst und Neue Wege" scholarship from the Free State of Bavaria.

He is currently working on his feature film debut NICHTSNUTZE and writes for the Munich online film magazine Artechock.

Hansi Jochmann

As the  daughter of actors, she made her theatre debut at the age of six, followed the next year by her first feature film directed by Wolfgang Staudte. Her career as a dubbing artist began at the same time. She took on one of the children's speaking roles in HAUSBOOT with Sophia Loren and Gary Grant.

Today she is best known for the television role of Roßhauptnerin alongside Ottfried Fischer in the PFARRER BRAUN film adaptations and as the German voice of Jodie Foster, whom she has accompanied since TAXI DRIVER.

She was a permanent ensemble member at the Schiller Theater Berlin for 15 years and was last seen in the cinema in IM LABYRINTH DES SCHWEIGENS.

Felix Karolus

After 18 years as an assistant director, he made his directorial debut in 2017 with the short film LOS PAUL! / GO PAUL! The black comedy received numerous awards at home and abroad.

He directed the second short film MENUETT with Senta Berger and Thomas Thieme. It screened at over 50 festivals worldwide (including Palm Springs, Flicker's Rhode Island, Foyle, China Int'l and Berlin & Beyond) and won several prizes as well as the FBW's "particularly valuable" rating. Both films were also shown at filmzeitkaufbeuren.

This year saw the premiere of his first feature film: AN SEINER SEITE, also starring Senta Berger and Thomas Thieme as well as Peter Simonischek, among others.

Margret Köhler

The film journalist studied French and English in Paris and London and political science (Dipl.sc.pol.) and education (M.A.) at the LMU Munich.

She has worked as a research assistant at the LMU and at the Institut Jugend Film Fernsehen in Munich and published various academic articles and books, was an editor at professional journals and a lecturer at the German School of Journalism.

She has been a member of national and international juries and currently works as a freelance film journalist for Film-Dienst, Film & TV Kamera, Abendzeitung München and Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND), among others.

Ingrid Bartsch

German television viewers know her from the ARD Morgenmagazin. From the beginning in 1992 until the end of last year, the graduate in German studies as well as film, television and theatre studies was the film face at MOMA.

During this time, the film critic was on the road at international festivals, from the Berlinale to Cannes to Venice, but also in Saarbrücken. In addition, for many years she was on the selection committee of what is now the Cologne Film Festival.

Her passion is unbroken. To this day, the film expert has kept her curiosity and is always happy to marvel, laugh and cry in the cinema.

Khatia Kurasbediani

The German-Georgian director and screenwriter discovered her passion for filmmaking in Georgia, where she made documentaries during her journalism studies. After graduating in 2008, she moved to Germany and studied film directing at the Kunsthochschule in Kassel.

In 2018, she completed her Master of Fine Arts with distinction and has been working as a director and writer ever since. She was an assistant director on last year's Filmzeit International jury winner LAKE OF HAPPINESS in 2019.

In 2020, her film ANGELS IN CRAZY TIMES premiered at the 54th Hof International Film Festival.

Hans Piesbergen

The actor completed his training at the famous Max Reinhard Seminar in Vienna with distinction. Since then he has performed on all the major German-language and international stages.

He was part of the ensemble of LIPSYNCH, the theatre epic by the Canadian director Robert Lepage, among others. There have been standing ovations all over the world, from Naples and Madrid to Moscow, Sydney and Melbourne, New York, Quebec, Montreal, Toronto and Taipei.

Most recently, in 2019, he won the "Best Male Lead Award" at the Sydney Indie Film Festival for his role in the film WE ARE DANCERS by English director Joe Morris.

Jury music film 2021

Marie Reich

The filmmaker grew up in a film family in Munich and studied at the HFF (University of Television and Film Munich) Munich.

She works as a producer, writer – as in the remake of DAS DOPPELTE LOTTCHEN – as well as a director, e.g. on the feature film SUMMERTIME BLUES and the documentary MEINE WELT IST DIE MUSIK – DER KOMPONIST CHRISTIAN BRUHN about one of the most famous pop composers.

The film title also stands for Marie Reich's second passion: she is the chairwoman of the Filmfoniker orchestra and plays the cello there. She shoots artistic video clips for classical musicians, including the shooting star among cellists, Raphaela Gromes.

Nataliya Tkachenko

The pianist, piano teacher and musicologist studied in Ukraine and later in Würzburg, where she has been a lecturer for piano at the Julius Maximilians University for many years. In addition to radio and television productions (BR, TVA, UTV, etc.), she has toured internationally as a soloist, in piano duos and in concert series.

She has created several musical fairy tales for the theatre in Kempten and can be heard in "Nussknacker und Mäusekönig", "Kleine Schusselhexe" and "Peter und der Wolf". For the theatre's new music series, she is designing three musical-literary soirées.

Douglas Wolfsperger

The filmmaker and author gained his first experience with Super 8 films during his school years. After an internship as a director and working on various university productions, he has been making his own feature films since 1985, with well-known actors such as Christiane Hörbiger, Barbara Auer, Axel Milberg and Ulrich Noethen.

In addition, he has made numerous documentaries for film and television, many of which have won international awards. His cinema documentary SCALA ADIEU – VON WINDELN VERWEHT premiered at the 52nd Hofer Filmtage 2018 and received the Biber for best documentary at the 40th Biberach Film Festival.
